The Calendar

A calendar is a way of measuring time from a greater distance. My understanding is that they were originally made to match the cycles of the moon following the believed environmental effects that the lunar phases were observed to have influenced. Whether or not I am correct, I use the moon to help me find myself at the end of the day.

Tonight it is clear enough to see the stars over the farm. It leaves me wondering how things will look months from now. For myself and for the land. I started this blog to document the progress of our land, but it ended up being a forum for me to share the progress I am making as a human struggling with my mental health. Every time I write I face my fears like the elements we’re forced to face in the acts of love we share with our animals and plants outside. I guess, in a way, I have created a world of simple challenge to act as a constant reminder to check in with the spiritual nature of things. I am here to check in too. With the parts of me that I fear in hopes of finding ways to feel more good through each passing moment. So I share with you all, the story of the last 2 years of my life. A little each day.
