Farming made More Good.

A Modern Farmstead

Just behind the Main House & Farm Shoppe , you’ll find all of the farm fun.

Jason and Morganne met as entrepreneurs and decided pretty quickly that they would collaborate their efforts in life on their family and eventually, a farm. Jasons connection to agriculture was through More Good, his syrup and mixer company that utilizes local fruits & herbs to craft special sweeteners for your drinks. While Morganne grew up in rural Warwick, NY alongside fruit, dairy, cattle, & hay farms. She worked on an organic farm for about a year in 2012 and her passion for plants, regenerative agriculture, and sustainability has only increased since.

Goodmaker Acres was formed in 2020 as a sister company to More Good. The primary goal on the farm is to create resource structures for both of our businesses by growing a majority of ingredients for our own supply chain of raw materials, in addition to creating a valuable set of systems across the property to benefit the natural ecological processes so that we can keep the farm healthy and functional for many years to come.

Regenerative agriculture isn’t a new concept, but it’s one just beginning to become more mainstream. The idea is to continue to add what you deplete and diversify your output through various interdependent flora and fauna.

Example 1:

Rather than using heavy machinery on the majority of the land, we have a herd of alpaca to maintain the grass. Alpaca poop incredibly rich fertilizer that can be used directly, or without processing. They also provide a beautiful fiber that we have spun into yarns to sell in our farm shoppe. This leaves more of the landscape untouched to foster the habitat of native species
